This is a really good page in showing how a kid think about words. Eliza have no idea what any of the words she was saying mean , only now that the people around her(her father) use them in such ways. All so another good showing is how Eliza saw the day from what Beth saw. Beth saw another sunny day. Eliza on the other hand saw dark shadows and gloom.
