LOL! What Eliza act like when she was told to play the Princess in distress trope.
Joking a side that image of her cutting her father finger with her claw was sweet. Better move then trying to really bit it. Dont even what to think where it been. Her crack the bar was all so a big grin moment.
Beth idea was a good one but looking at there luck, it will likely not be that easy .
Then I got back to laugh at Eliza thought about her knight in shining armor. Oh this was a priceless page . 🤣
In honesty the issue is that the Duke couldn’t get over his wife’s passing. I try to look at things from different angles. While I don’t know all the details, its very unlikely that Eliza’s mother came from a high station. Even with Thea’s youngest daughter moving to Harmonia to find a rich husband. Likely Duke Serdste met her working as a gardener and they fell in love. As I mentioned above I don’t know all the details so this might be wrong. Regardless the worst of Duke Serdste’s current behavior is likely found its beginnings in accidently killing his wife. The grief driving him to drinking and violence.
I do believe that he does truly love his daughter though. And like it or not, Eliza does get her aggressive/stubborn traits from him. Duke Serdste has been shown to be not a good man. But he did ensure his daughter wanted for nothing and that she got a good education. So he was at least a decent father, who trusted his daughter. Duke Serdste at the end of the day may not be a good man, but he wasn’t a monster either.
