Yeeaahhh I can see why Eliza would be upset. Even if they are nocturnal, they still should be tired from being up so long. That said see how they change , any logic should be throw out the window and just roll with it.
Fun fact: Bats are not as blind as people think. According to a few sources, many bats have better vision than most humans.
