As the two awaken, Ashley and Cara note an old shrine gate like the ones found in the orient.

The two are awoken by the sound of heavy machines, though they looked more steam powered.

Cool way to have them travel to other paths. Not to shocking as woods seem to have a lot of power in Lore.More so this woods seeing as it the same as the one in Princess and the Dou have show how crazy that can be.
