Lore – Chapter 17 Page 20

The Young Upstart

Isaiah really needs to stop addressing people as ‘things’ and ‘its’. It’s very rude.

  1. Of course she not human! She the main character, they normal are not human or a human with some god like training Right now it very likely the clown dragon(look like she getting a good laugh from Akina out burst from the last page by the way) is some thing that was seal inside her and do to that have change her over time. Much like Darin in Lore or say Naruto for a outside story one. That said I will not be shock Akina is a Written in some shape or form

Beside that bit. Not shock she has a huge base level of mana as point .She is a newbie of sorts, so she need some sort of bonus to face someone that now what they are doing. All so why it is easy to forget Isaiah is just the first Lorecrafter she have deal with. L was more of a show and tell sort. So why he is likely her first true boss fight, he may not be all that strong in the wider story.

    • Written can NOT be Lorecrafters. Besides, the Order has plenty of non human people in it. I do think Akina is human, but I believe that the massive mana spike comes from her connection in the book. Since she was introduced to the, “Book of Lore”, Akina has played a protagonist role in the story. As such the book might be giving her a boost. There’s no rule saying the main character can’t be human, in fact the best stories are about a human with no special abilities that gains the power to fight back. I see Akina as one such protagonist. She gained her Lore Crafting abilities after being dragged into the book. Which may play a part to why she’s so powerful.

The eye thing Akina has going on is also likely something that is seen as normal among the order. With it being a quirk of her abilities, as many of the order members have something that is apart of them that illustrates their core inspiration.

  2. The moment Isaiah doubt’s ones humanity its thing and it. Considering many of the Order aren’t even human themselves, well it creates a hostile work environment.

Still the dragon imagery around Akina is interesting. Her two biggest inspiration points are clown wrestlers and kaiju. Which can branch off into, pro wrestling, muscle training, circus theme super heroes, dragons, and other monsters.

  3. Ah, and there’s that inferiority complex again…
