Beside that… well Akina have to learn to fight at some point and I do believe the best way to teach someone is to just throw them into the thick of it. So good luck Akina. That said do to the little lantern face and how Paige face is cover. I dont think she telling Akina the full truth as well.
In my opinion it feels like Paige is intentionally holding back in order to push Akina into fighting. At the moment she’s been fighting like a berserker, but she has since calmed down. As such, it’s likely that this is a gambit to make Akina more confident in herself. With lorecrafting being partially about ones “head space”; any confidence boost would do wonders.
I just realized that Akina’s left eye seems to change with her mood and thought process. It seems there’s more to Akina than what meets the eye. Though the question that needs to be led with this line of thinking, is whether or not this was occurring before Akina ended bathing in Ink. Back in the very beginning. I’m personally leaning on no, that this started occurring after she got her powers.
